THE NEW PORCH ORIDANCE: IT HAS AFFECTED CHICAGO
The Chicago marketplace has changed dramatically and it will affect you if you are
thinking about building. After the tragic 2003 porch collapse, a new porch ordinance
passed effectively making every existing porch in Chicago illegal. Furthermore,
a new disorganized and cumbersome permit process has made permit procurement a major
challenge. With the new rules and the necessary involvement of several building
and trade professionals, a time consuming permit process has been created. Using
our experience as a nationwide deck company franchisee, Chicago Porch Authority
brings the experience and expertise required to navigate the city process, which
will bring your project to completion.
